Weekly Camp Intensives
We are excited to introduce weekly camp intensives. Each week of camp, a new Specialty program will join us. This allows campers a full week emersion, engaging in the new specialty each day that week and gaining new experiences and expertise. We are delighted to be offering the following Intensives:
Wilderness Survival
Tim Swanson of Owl Eyes Wilderness Survival will instruct campers in debris shelters, knife use/safety/sharpening, fire building with modern tools. Tim is a highly-skilled, wilderness survival expert whom seeks to empower, inspire, and connect people of all backgrounds to the natural landscape.
STEM
STEMentors of Newton High School North will be partnering with Camp Gan Israel and our highly experienced STEM Instructor to offer a week of STEM exploration. Activities are station-based and focus on a central science concept, such as static electricity, motion/forces, geology, thermodynamics, the human body, electricity/circuits, and more! All stations are hands-on and allow the children to explore. We encourage the children to stretch their brains as we ask them questions such as "Why do you think this happened?" and "What will happen when we do this?"
